Family and friends stopped by the Pierce County Office Building Tuesday to congratulate Anna Helmer on her retirement after 25 years with the Farmers Service Agency (FSA). "You want to be as helpful as you can to (farmers) because I wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for them," she said. Helmer started with the FSA in 1985 after running into a friend who told her about an opening within the department. She currently is a program technician, specializing in commodity loans, milc program and facility loans. ...
