Wayne leaves hardwoods office, arrives at Elmwood's office

ELMWOOD--The past year has been a time of transition for Amy Wayne of Plum City.

A year ago this month, Wayne and husband Matt closed the businesses they'd operated for 14 years, she said Thursday. Over the next 12 months, she'd have three different jobs, officially starting her newest just last week.

"I read about it in the paper," she said of the Village of Elmwood Clerk-Treasurer's position she's now assumed, succeeding Jodi Pulk.

Wayne said she already did some observing in the village office and has been helped by Assistant Clerk Vickie Lehmann. She got a sample of election work during the recent primary.

"I think that will be one of the most interesting parts of the job," she said.
