KPS signs deal with Wausau Paper to form large specialy paper company
WAUSAU - The reported buyer of paper mills in Kaukauna and De Pere plans to combine those operations with mills in Mosinee and Rhinelander to form what is says will be one of the leading specialty paper companies in North America.
New York-based equity firm KPS Capital Partners signed a deal with Wausau Paper last month. The new paper company is expected to employ about 1,800 people.
The deal still depends on ratification of a new collective bargaining agreement between the new company and the union representing those workers.
