The AgStar Fund for Rural America, the corporate giving program of AgStar Financial Services, awarded a $3,000 grant to the Pierce County Fair and fairgrounds through its annual county fair facility upgrade grant program.

Fair and fairgrounds officials plan to use the grant money to add spray foam insulation to the roof of the new metal exhibit building. This will make sound proofing and comfort level of the building more enjoyable for exhibitors, judges and fairgoers.

Pierce County Fair officials encourage this year’s fairgoers to stop by to view the new exhibit building located between the Seyforth Building and the Horse Barn. They commend AgStar Financial Services for selecting the insulation project as a worthy addition to the new exhibit building.

Through AgStar’s grant program, the Pierce County Fair has been awarded three grants totaling $8,000 since 2007. Other projects completed with the help of AgStar have been a new roof on the silver barn and an electrical upgrade in the blue barn.
