INDIANAPOLIS — Andy Wieser, president of Wieser Concrete Products, headquartered in Maiden Rock, was presented with the Robert E. Yoakum Award on Oct. 14 at the National Precast Concrete Association's 52nd annual convention in Atlanta. Mark Wieser, vice president of Wieser Concrete Products, was also elected to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the National Precast Concrete Association.

Andy was presented the award, the association's most prestigious honor, for his steadfast devotion to the betterment of the industry and the association. The award is named after one of NPCA's founders, Robert Yoakum, who was set to host the first NPCA Convention at his plant when he tragically died the night before the meeting.

"I cannot think of a more deserving recipient than Andy Wieser," said NPCA President Ty Gable. "Andy has exemplified the highest levels of dedication, leadership and support for the association and industry."

Mark has played an active role within NPCA, serving on the technical committee and septic tank product committee. In addition to his new role on the NPCA Board of Directors, he has also served on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Onsite Water Recycling Association and Wisconsin Precast Concrete Association.

"NPCA is dedicated to achieving extraordinary results by continuously improving our programs and I know Mark's expertise on the board of directors will help us further develop these goals," Gable said.
