Shermans find their dream with the Arbor Inn

PRESCOTT - After having their fill of 'corporate America' John and Deb Sherman wanted to get away from it all.

"We wanted to do a Bed and Breakfast so we can meet people," John explained. "We love to make people happy."

Goal accomplished as starting last October the Shermans became owners of The Arbor Inn, located at 434 N. Court St. in Prescott, from Marv and Linda Kangas.

"People should get what they paid for," John said, stating one of the Inn's objectives. "If someone wanted RC Cola for breakfast, they'll get RC Cola.

"The whole idea is to try and make everyone happy."

The Shermans come from Colorado where John was a manager for a concrete company for over 15 years and Deb is a nationally certified massage therapist. The couple has four adult children and one grandchild.

Wanting a change, they moved to Minnesota where they took seasonal jobs and were laid off in Dec. 2006 as planned.
