Tractor Supply Company opening Feb. 27 in Prescott

PRESCOTT -- One of the biggest misconceptions about Tractor Supply Company (TSC) is the items sold there.

"Most people do not know what we sell," said Joe Hines, manager of the Prescott store that will open to the public at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 1445 North Acres Rd. in Prescott.

Hines should know. He was one of them before joining the company last year.

"Everyone hears the name and thinks we're just tractor parts," he said.

What one can find at a TSC store is anything from hardware to welding, animal feed, lawn mowers, garden supplies, wood stoves, clothing, along with tractor/trailer parts and accessories.

The leading retail farm and ranch store brand in America, TSC owns and operates more than 750 stores in over 40 states. The Prescott store is one of 100 the company, which started in 1938, is planning to build this year.

"It's a great company to work for," Hines said. "I like the small, hometown atmosphere of the store.
