Tractor caravan to kick off fair week

The St. Croix County Fair Board is sponsoring a tractor caravan on Sunday, July 14, preceding this year’s county fair, July 17-21. Area residents are invited to bring their tractor to the fairgrounds in Glenwood City and take part in the caravan.

The group will line up at 9 a.m. for coffee and donuts, and then leave at 10 a.m. for a 20- to 25-mile ride along the scenic roads of the Glenwood City area.

Tractors can be any make, model or year. Tractors need to go a minimum of 8 mph and have good brakes and a slow-moving-vehicle sign.

Family members and guests may ride on towed vehicles, but the driver is responsible for their safety.

Port-a-potties and a rescue truck will be on the route with the caravan.

Once the tractors return to the fairgrounds, owners are encouragedto leave their tractors for an exhibit during the fair.
