RIVER FALLS--A River Falls non-profit organization is getting support from a local car show this Saturday.

St. Croix Valley Restorative Justice Program (SCVRJP) is the benefit for the third annual Car and Truck Show. Proceeds from the event will help programming for teens.

Car Show Chairman George La Fave previously volunteered with SCVRJP as a facilitator, speaker and board member. La Fave has led the car show for the past three years. The show will start at 8 a.m. and activities will continue until 3 p.m.

Rosebud Cakes is sponsoring a cupcake bowl battle with Packers and Vikings cupcakes for sale. Great Clips will be giving $5 haircuts and kids temporary hair coloring. Yo-Joe’s will be giving free coffee to car owners from 6:30-10 a.m.

Don’t miss the chance to crush a vehicle and guess when a motor without oil will blow. From 12:30-1:30 p.m., a Roy Orbison Impersonator will be performing for free on a stage near Lazy River Bar and Grill. Awards will be given at 2 p.m. Many local businesses have donated sponsorships and prizes for door prizes.

Car registration is just $15, and guarantees a dash plaque and a free lunch for the first 275 vehicles.

SCVRJP addresses issues of teen driving, underage consumption and impaired driving. SCVRJP has been providing services in River Falls since 2001. Restorative Justice provides participants meaningful opportunities to examine choices and opportunities for better decisions in the future.

Forms to register for the show are available on the SCVRJP website:; for additional information, contact La Fave at 715-425-7138. If interested in volunteering, contact Liana at 715-425-1100 or email
