The 131st Pierce County Fair officially kicked off Thursday morning under picture perfect weather.

The theme for Thursday was 4-H Alumni Day as the Fair is celebrating 100 years of 4-H in Wisconsin. A program was held Thursday morning commemorating the honor which included Greg Andrews recanting stories from the County's first 4-H Agent Harlan Seyforth and the donation of a barn quilt to the Pierce County Fair in lieu of their supporting 4-H over the years.

The afternoon schedule includes entertainment from Sean Emery, Elmwood native Vicky Emerson and Pickles the Clown.

Tonight's festivities are the first round of the community talent shows, music by "Hunyuks" in the beer garden, a pedal tractor pull and a truck pull in the Grandstand.
