PEPIN --The 13th annual Emma’s Hope walk is Saturday, Sept. 21, at Pepin Area Schools.
The walk is a fundraiser for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, with all proceeds going toward the business.
The rally begins at 10 a.m. with a silent auction. Rest stops will be provided along the walk by Garden Pub and Grille, The Pickle Factory and Plum City Schools.
Emma’s Hope is named after Emma Laehn, who was diagnosed with cancer when she was two-years-old. She is now a junior at Pepin High School, and has been cancer-free for years. As a result, her family wants to support other families who are facing the terrifying reality of a cancer diagnosis. Her parents, Angie and Shaughn, are both teachers at Plum City Schools.
Registration and/or donations (individual $25 and family $50) can be made before the walk or the day of the walk.
