Abracadabra at the Sheldon
Red Wing native Kristoffer Olson brings his unique brand of comedy and magic for his 11th show at the Sheldon Theatre Saturday June 15. Featuring full-length performances by Olson and special guest Eric Buss, the show will be quirky enough for a memorable date night, and wholesome enough for the whole family, Olson promises.
As audience members enter the theater, they will be entertained by strolling magicians. Following the performance, there will be a free ice cream social in the Sheldon Theatre Courtyard, featuring balloon artist David Olson.
Kristoffer Olson is well-known as a corporate entertainer in the Midwest. His quick-witted and self-deprecating character drives a show that plays like an earth-friendly hybrid of stand-up comedy and magic, Sheldon officials said.
Audience participation is his trademark, making each show unique and engaging.
Buss, flying in from Los Angeles, is known as a comedy imaginator. He has earned this moniker by developing a show with crazy inventions and a high-octane sugar rush approach to comedy that catapults viewers into a non-stop ride of mischief and magical gadgetry.
He has been featured on "America's Got Talent" and "The Late Show with David Letterman." In Letterman's own words, Buss' show is "Tremendous, sensational, and beautiful ... I've never seen anything like it."
