Administrative changes OK'd by school board
A recommendation to restructure the administrative staff was approved by the Ellsworth School Board Monday.
The recommendation calls for Hillcrest Elementary School Principal Tim Brunner to switch to assistant principal at the middle school. Prairie View Elementary School Principal Bill Fuller is to assume responsibilities for both Prairie View and Hillcrest elementaries.
Additionally, Klass-Jonas Pool Manager Ann Anderson is to add administration of middle school activities.
Anderson is to be compensated at the rate of $3,000. The other 2007-08 administrative contracts are to be at the 2006-07 level of compensation, subject to change during the meet and confer/negotiations process.
Superintendent Dan Kaler said the restructuring is a result of Assistant Middle School Principal Doug Hatch's taking a year's leave of absence, having reportedly accepted a position in New Richmond. Kaler estimated the total savings to the local district from the restructuring will be approximately $100,000.
