Staff members of the Pierce County Aging and Disability Resource Center can't stop talking about their new offices.

"It's been wonderful," said ADRC Manager Kathy Haas. "Before we had part of our staff on different floors, now everyone is under one roof."

An open house for the public was held earlier this month so guests could see what the new offices look like.

ADRC is now located on the first floor in the Pierce County Office Building, in what used to be a meeting room complex.

Haas also loves the new location because it's next door to Veteran Services.

"We refer people back and forth," she said. "We wanted to be next to them."

Besides Haas, staff members include administrative assistant Lena Aumann, benefit specialists Jane White and Sarah Wilson, accounting assistant Luann Kirby, options counselors Gary Cain and Kathryn Spence, and van drivers Scott Welcome, JoAnn Nestrud and Irene Kilness. Nestrud is also a site worker with Susan Sanders and Dawn Neidermeyr.

ADRC is a unit of Human Services.
