All four of the county’s prep cross country teams were at Durand and Prescott’s Amanda Murphy had the best place of all of them as she finished fourth on the 4000-meter course in a time of 17:02.

Spring Valley’s Emma Gaustad finished 10th in a time of 17:28 and Elmwood/Plum City’s Andrew Gilles finished 10th in 18:24 with teammate Noah Wells right behind him in 11th at 18:27 on the 5000-meter course.

EPC has had the county’s best finishes in boys’ meet this fall and the results at Durand didn’t change it as the Wolves used Gilles and Wells’s places to place eighth themselves in one of the largest and most competitive Durand Invite field in recent memory.

Prescott's girls placed fouth and Spring Valley finished fifth.
