Pierce County Fair officials are confident the 131st edition, held earlier this month, was another smashing success.
“Along with the exceptional fair weather, fairgoers commented on the beautiful grounds and buildings, quality of 4-H and open exhibits, variety of entertainment, food and commercial vendor options that were offered,” Fair Coordinator Ann Webb said last week.
Webb also said preliminary attendance counts show the fair should near its average betrween 40,000 and 41,000 persons.
This year’s theme was “Farm Meets Fun,” with new events such as the Kirby Puckett eye mobile and the Veterans Center Readjustment Counseling Services.
“They were a nice addition to the fair,” Webb said, noting she heard positive comments about both.
The 2015 fair is scheduled from Aug. 13-16.
