Bad start doesn't keep Plum City boys from beating Elmwood 50-48

ELMWOOD - Despite trailing 11-0 in the first half and not scoring a singler basket until the 5:09 mark of the second quarter, the Plum City High School boys basketball team was still able to edge Pierce County rival Elmwood 50-48 in an intense and exciting (in the second half ) Dunn-St. Croix Conference ballgame Tuesday evening.

PC went ahead 50-48 when Nash Gilles sank to free throws with :11 seconds remaining. Elmwood missed its last shot at the buzzer which would have tied the ballgame.

Austin Coss led the Blue Devils in scoring with 15 points and teammate Wyatt Schultz scored 11 points. The Raiders had three players in double figures with Levi Wolf and Noah Wells both scoring 13 points and Nick Bechel scoring 11.
