Badger men still No. 4 despite loss and tie
The University of Wisconsin men's hockey team took sole possession of fourth in the WCHA, despite losing and tying at Minnesota over the weekend.
The Badgers were tied for fourth with Minnesota State before their 4-2 loss and 4-4 tie with the Gophers.
MSU was idle.
Colorado College now has a four-point lead over North Dakota and third-place Denver earned the right to host a first round playoff berth.
Wisconsin has 25 points, 12 behind Colorado College, with a record of 10-11-5 in the WCHA and 14-13-7 overall.
The Badgers have just two regular season league contests remaining.
