Badgers to face Northwestern without Oglesby
MADISON - Wisconsin offensive tackle Josh Oglesby will have surgery either today or Monday on the left knee he injured at Indiana two weeks ago.
Badger head coach Bret Bielema said he thought the sophomore Oglesby could play through his injury, but it's not the case. He'll be out 2-to-4 weeks.
Oglesby hopes to be ready for the Badgers' regular season finale at Hawaii on December fifth - but it's more likely he'll be out until Wisconsin's bowl game.
In the meantime, Jake Bscherer will start at right tackle tomorrow, when the Badgers play at Northwestern. Wisconsin is 8-and-2 overall, and 5-and-2 in the Big Ten.
The Wildcats are 4-and-3 in the conference, and 7-and-4 overall. The two teams have not played each other since 2006, when the Badgers routed Northwestern 41-to-9 at Camp Randall. But their series has been close in recent years. They're 5-and-5 in their last 10 games.
A victory by Wisconsin coupled with a Michigan win over Ohio State would give Wisconsin a share of the Big Ten title.
