A silent auction will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. and donated items for bids are being accepted. There will be live music by "Richard Johnson's Band" from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The Neidermyers lost their residence and their belongings except for a vehicle and some photos in the fire on Oct. 9. The blaze, believed to be electrical in nature, started in the living room. The couple had lived at the Spring Valley area location for approximately five years; he is employed at Schmitt Timber in Spring Valley and she's a stay-at-home mom.

The family includes four girls: Melissa, age 12, Maranda, nine, Jerilyn, three, and Katelyn, one. They've moved into a house in Spring Valley after having stayed at Troy Neidermyer's brother's home in Knapp.

Monetary donations can be sent to the Bank of Spring Valley, P.O. Box 159, Spring Valley, WI 54767, c/o Troy and Kelly Neidermyer Family. To make arrangements for other donations, such as clothing, household goods and the like, or of items for the silent auction, contact organizer Heather Sibley at (507) 351-3967.

The benefit is being sponsored by Torch's Valley Bar and the Midwest Farmers Horse Pullers Association, in which the Neidermyers are members.
