Blanford ready to settle down in Elmwood
ELMWOOD--Paul Blanford and the Elmwood School District were a perfect match for each other.
Blanford was seeking the opportunity to return to a smaller school after a year as Black River Falls' superintendent.
Elmwood was looking for an elementary/middle/assistant high school principal due to the resignation of Jon Hinzman, who left to become middle school principal for the Baldwin-Woodville School District.
The two came together, as Blanford started July 1.
"This is a great opportunity here," Blanford said, as he was impressed with how the community has gotten involved with the school district over time.
Another appealing factor for both parties: Blanford said he's ready to settle down, as this will be his third different school district he's worked at the last three years. That's music to Elmwood's ears, as Blanford is the fourth different person in this position the last four years.
