Bloodmobile coming to Ellsworth Monday

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Ellsworth at Zion Covenant Church, 210 N. Beulah St., next Monday from noon to 6 p.m.

January is National Blood Donor Month. Throughout January, the Red Cross is celebrating the contributions of millions of blood donors who give patients hope. Those who've never donated blood through the Red Cross are encouraged to add another resolution to their list and become a regular donor.

Simply call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-448-3543) or visit givebloodgivelife.org to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver's license, or two other forms of identification, are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17-years-old (16 with parental permission in some states) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18-years-old and younger also have to meet certain requirements.
