Kuehni sentenced to probation, jail time in fatal shooting case

Body found, identity help is sought

HASTINGS, Minn. -- Authorities are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

The body was found south of the Twin Cities in a wooded area of rural Dakota County by the landowner. It appeared she had been there less than 36 hours.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the victim. The following description may help in her identification: female, possible Native American, late  20s to early 30s, height 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, 190 pounds, vibrant white teeth, reddish hair with blonde highlights, starfish earrings. She had a vine-shaped tattoo with blue ink across lower back.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause of death and the investigation continues with assistance from the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
