Boys Basketball Round-up: PC boys win second straight, Prescott wins fourth straight

Plum City's boys basketball team won its second straight game Friday 32-29 over St. Croix Central in Plum City.

PC once again rallied from a bad start. They were shutout in the first quarter and were down 14-4 at halftime. But the Blue Devils outscored the Panthers 28-15 in the second half.


Plum City had no one in double figures in scoring. Alex Boyer led the way with eight points and Peter Fenter had six.

Also on a winning streak is Prescott. The Cardinals won their fourth straight as they took down Osseo-Fairchild in a non-conference contest 73-57 Friday at home.

PHS's Clay Seifert had a season-high 28 points while Mike Brookshaw and Alex Helmer each scored 10 points.

Spring Valley saw its record evened up at 1-1 losing in overtime to Mondovi 58-51 at home.  The Buffaloes broke open this evenly matched game by outscoring SV 12-5 in overtime.

The Cardinals were led in scoring by Zac Webster's 16 points and 10 from Bryan Bednarek. Mondovi's Quinn Buchholz had 17 points to lead all scorers.
