Brookshaw wins MVP award from SCVL All-Star game

RIVER FALLS - Prescott Pirate player Billy Brookshaw was named the Most Valuable Player on Offense at the St. Croix Valley League All-Star Game held Saturday evening at First National Bank Stadium.


Brookshaw had four hits in leading the South team to a 15-14 win over the North team.

The South team consisted of players from Pierce County SCVL ballclubs. Besides Prescott, players from Ellsworth, Spring Valley, Elmwood, Plum City, Hager City and Bay City took part.

Brookshaw is attending college at Augsburg in Minneapolis and plays for the Auggie baseball team.
