Bucks to interview Sampson Thursday according to source

MILWAUKEE - Former Milwaukee Bucks assistant Kelvin Sampson is reportedly scheduled to have an interview on Thursday for the Bucks' vacant head coaching job.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel says former Seattle and Portland head coach Nate McMillan is also scheduled for an interview in Milwaukee this week. Sampson was an assistant under Bucks' coach Scott Skiles for three years, until he left for Houston to become the Houston Rockets' assistant head coach.

The Rockets were eliminated from the playoffs last Friday night - and the Journal-Sentinel says Charlotte and Philadelphia are also interested in talking to Sampson. McMillan has reportedly interviewed at Detroit, where he's said to be a leading candidate for the Pistons' vacancy. The Bucks' job has been open since the middle of last week, when Jim Boylan was let go.
