Products inside the Ellsworth Co-op Creamery's retail store appeared tempting to the sidekick of a popular Twin Cities outdoors journalist Thursday.

But "Raven," the canine companion to Ron Schara of Ron Schara Productions, remained well-behaved. The dog only slightly sniffed a stand where bags of cheese curds and other foods are displayed. When a photographer whistled to get the animal's attention for a picture, the desired response--turn away from the goodies and toward the camera--came fairly quickly.

After all, as Schara always says in the tag line he uses to end his "Minnesota Bound" program on KARE-TV, channel 11 in the Cities, Raven is the "star of the show." It was a featured role in a television commercial promoting the creamery that brought him and his master there.
