Colfax tops PC baseball team 14-5
PLUM CITY - Colfax scored nine unasnwered runs in the second and third innings combined to help beat Plum City 14-5 at a sunny but chilly Legion Park Monday afternoon for the Blue Devils' home opener.
PC took a 4-3 lead after its first at bats but the Vikings, 2-0 overall, 1-0 in the Dunn-St. Croix Large, responded with the nine runs to take a 12-4 advantage they held for the duration of the ballgame. Sawyer DeMoe was one of four Colfax players with two hits and he craked a home run and a double as well.
Colfax only outhit Plum City 9-6 but four Blue Devil errors also proved costly.
PC dropped to 0-2 on the season and 0-2 in the Dunn-St. Croix Small Division.
