Condon pleads guilty to possession of pornography
A former Prescott man pled guilty Friday in Pierce County Circuit Court to two counts of possession of child pornography.
Michael D. Condon Sr., 46, also pled guilty to disorderly conduct and OWI in relation to other incidents. He will be sentenced on the pornography charges at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 5, 2009.
Condon was initially charged last June with six counts of possession of child pornography. Two were dismissed last July and the additional two were dismissed Friday.
According to the criminal complaint, Prescott police interviewed Condon at the Dakota County (Minn.) Jail in Hastings, Minn., last May, where he was being booked on a separate incident. Condon initially told police he looked at pornography, but there was nothing serious about it.
"I just look at Web sites, just like anybody else," he said. "When they're offensive to me, I stop looking at them."
He then said he didn't save the images on the computer and deleted the history after visiting those sites so his children wouldn't see it.
