County boys' hoop teams looking to keep momentum tonight

Several Pierce County boys basketball teams are looking to keep their winning momentum going in ballgame scheduled for this evening.

Spring Valley will be looking to climb further up the Dunn-St. Croix Conference standings as the Cardinals travel to Mondovi to take on the Buffaloes, who are in second place in the D-SC.

Plum City is looking to do the same. The Blue Devils, who are above .500 in the D-SC for the first time, clash with St. Croix Central in Hammond this evening.

And Prescott, just fresh off a big win at Ellsworth, hopes for no letdown as they are at Baldwin-Woodville. The Cardinals are 8-0 and in first place in the Middle Border Conference.

Meanwhile, Ellsworth will look to bounce back from Tuesday's loss as they take on New Richmond at home tonight. EHS is still in contention for the MBC title with a 5-2 record.

There are three girls' games tonight as well. Ellsworth is at New Richmond, Baldwin-Woodville is at Prescott and Spring Valley hosts Unity in non-conference play.
