County D-SC hoops teams lose Thursday evening
Dunn-St. Croix Conference prep boys and girls basketball teams from Pierce County were beaten in conference and non-conference games Thursday evening.
Elmwood's boys basketball team had a another competitive effort but again came up short. The Raiders lost at home to undefeated Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran 52-42 stay wiunless for the season so far. Elmwood's Levi Wolf had 22 points to lead all-scorers but the Lancers had more balanced scoring wwith three players in double figures.
All three of the county's D-SC girls teams were beaten last night. Plum City again came the closest to winning, a 46-37 effort at Mondovi. PC rallied from 15 down in the fourth quarter to make the score respectable. PC's Cheyanne Catura led all scorers with 19 points.
Spring Valley was beat down at Elk Mound 63-15 and Elmwood lost 63-22 at Boyceville. Both teams are 0-2 in league play and overall while Plum City is 0-3.
Elmwood's girls will look for its first win at home tonight vs. Independence while the EHS boys are at home Saturday evening against Chippewa Falls McDonell.
