Prescott played in the River Falls Tournament. The Cardinals had lost a pair of 3-1 matches last week to River Falls and New Richmond. But Saturday the Cardinals, led by the hitting of Anna Weiser and the assists from Alexi Schommer, went 4-2. PHS is now 10-9 overall and has a key Middle Border Conference match at home Tuesday vs. Osceola, last year's MBC co-champ along with Prescott.

Plum City was in the middle of a six-match losing streak, including the Blue Devil's first two D-SC matches against Mondovi and Pepin by 3-0 sweeps, before Saturday's quadrangular at Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran. But there PC went 5-2, their only losses coming to the host Lancers.  They swept Blair-Taylor 25-19, 25-10 and Independence 25-16 and 25-11 and took one game over ECIL 25-22. The deciding game vs. Immanuel went well past 15 points as won 22-20 by the host school. Plum City had 11 kills and seven blocks in their games with ECIL.

PC's good play this past weekend has their record at 7-9 overall before a key match Tuesday at 12-3 Spring Valley.
