County runners place in Tuesday meets

Prescott's Amanda Murphy had another top place finish at the Amery Invitational Tuesday.

Murphy finished fifth in a time of 17:04. Teammates Annika Carlson and Emmie Carpenter were also in the top 25 as they finished 23rd and 25th respectfully. As a team PHS took seventh out of the 16 teams competing. Elmwood/Plum City was 11th led by a 43rd place by Josie Tiffany in 19:09.

EPC's Noah Wells finished 18th in the meet in 18:49. Prescott placed 11th out of 16 schools competing with Phillip Pena's 41st in 20:13.

Ellsworth's Carter Schultx placed 30th at the Black River Falls Invitational in 19:34 while the Panthers Kelsey Betthauser was 17th in 18:57. That helped EHS place eighth in the girls meet with a score of 202.

Both Ellsworth and Prescott compete in the Arcadia Invitational this Saturday at Schutz Farm.
