Creamery holds contest in honor of month

A random drawing was held by the Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery for one lucky classroom to receive a class cheese party. Out of over 600 entries from many communities, Mrs. Eaton's second grade class at Hillcrest Elementary School in Ellsworth was the cheese party winner. Beth Ingli from the creamery brought the class a cheese-and-meat tray, crackers, milk, pencils and cups on Nov. 21. Congratulations goes to all those students who participated.1 / 3

In honor of October being National Farm to School Month, the Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery and Comstock Creamery held a contest to help kids understand the connection of communities with farms.

The creamery had 604 students from 45 classrooms in the area return their completed forms. Each student received a four ounce bag of fresh cheese curds in appreciation for all their hard work.
