Desi Foy takes sales job at Herald
Desi Foy, a 2001 Ellsworth High School graduate and former local radio news reporter, has been hired as an advertising sales representative at the Pierce County Herald.
He described his Herald sales territory as "Prescott to Durand and all spots in between, basically the county."
Foy, 23, said he is starting to meet the people on his current client list and will "then see who else is out there that we can help with their advertising."
He has an associate degree in radio broadcasting from Brown College and previously worked as a freelance reporter for the Herald, covering the Elmwood and Spring Valley
His college courses included instruction in Web site building and management and in sales and marketing.
Foy worked for about five years, during high school and college and afterwards, at KCUE and KWNG radio stations in Red Wing.
Foy, who lives in River Falls, is the son of Debby and Chuck Foy, Ellsworth. His mother is a kindergarten teacher at Lindgren Elementary School. His father owns Honey Do Services, a handyman business.
His brother Jordan is a junior at EHS.
Foy joins Herald Advertising Director Robin Kruse and salesperson Tracy Kuehn.
