Duane John Hoyer, 53
Duane John Hoyer, 53, of Zumbrota, Minn., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, Sunday, Oct. 20, following a tragic accident.
He was born on Sept. 3, 1960, to Leona and Vernon Hoyer of Bay City.
Duane loved his family and enjoyed spending all of his time with them. He worked various construction jobs. Duane was a very giving and helping man to all.
Preceding him in death were his parents; grandparents; two aunts; and three uncles.
He is survived by his daughter Kassandra (Tim) Barry, Santee, Calif.; sons Duane (Tiffany) Hoyer, Bay City, Wis., Jacob Hoyer, Richmond, Calif., James Blake Hoyer, Bay City, and Zayden Hoyer, Zumbrota; grandchildren: Rylee and Ryker Hoyer, and Jackson Barry; brothers: Clarence, Edwin and Robert Hoyer; sisters: Margaret, and Veronica Hoyer. He is further survived by fianc Lisa Morseth and children Brady, Kaylie, Misty, Kayson, and Massiny Morseth; step-mother, Janean Hoyer; and her children: Joseph, Chad, and Nichole; many aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews; and dear friends.
Funeral services for Duane will be at 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in the Bay City Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the family.
