Durand leads MBC golf standings midway, Danielson top individual
The midway point of the Middle Border Conference golf season has been reached and leading the way in the team standings is Durand and individually is Osceola Charlie Danielson.
Durand leads New Richmond, Osceola and Baldwin-Woodville by a single point, 16 to 15 for the other three teams.
Ellsworth is currently in eighth place with nine points and Prescott is tied for 11th with Colfax with six points.
Five meets remain on the schedule, two of them full 12-team meets plus the conference meet May 18 at Kilkarney Hills in River Falls, hosted by Ellsworth.
Danielson too, has a one-point lead in the standings. The defending MBC champ has 22 points and Amery's Erik Maanum has 21 points.
Ellsworth's Joey Henning is in fourth place with 17 points and teammate Aaron Knuston is in ninth with 12 points.
Prescott's Vince Chute is 18th in the conference standings with nine points.
