E-PC has two place winners at state meet

LA CROSSE - The Elmwood-Plum City boys' 1600-meter relay team and Jenna Reitz were the Red Devils' two place winners at a wet WIAA State Track and Field meet Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Reitz took seventh in the 200-meter dash in a time of :27.05 seconds.

The E-PC boys' 1600-meter relay team finished fifth in 3:28.55. Team members are Alex Gilles, Tim Talford, Tyler Churchill and Gabe Rodriguez.

E-PC boys' 3200-meter relay team just missed placing, taking ninth in 8:17.23.

Also competing Saturday from Pierce County: Spring Valley's Breanna Colbenson finished 10th in the Division 3 1600-meter run while Prescott's Victoria Simones was 13th in the same event in Division 2.

Prescott's Cole Geiger was 13th in the long jump, Ty Stees was 13th in the shot put, his sister Autumn Stees took 15th in the 800-meter run and the Cardinal boys' 1600-meter relay team placed ninth.

E-PC's Rodriguez finished 10th in the 400-meter dash, Becky Hartung was 16th in the 800, Alex Hartung was 16th in the shot put and the Red Devil girls' 1600-meter relay team placed 10th.
