Eagles win third game in a row, Blue Devils lose seventh in a row
PLUM CITY - Alma/Pepin won its third game in a row Friday in a 14-8 victory over Plum City at Legion Park.
The Eagles (6-4, 5-3 Dunn-St. Croix) took a 4-0 lead after the second inning, but the Blue Devils (2-9, 2-5 Dunn-St. Croix) cut the lead to 4-3 after the second inning.
Alma/Pepin took control in the fourth and fifth innings. The Eagles took a 9-4 lead after the fifth and tacked on five more runs in the seventh.
Plum City rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Zach Vreeland drove in three runs while Cole Carroll went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Kyle Ritscher finished 1-for-2 with an RBI for Alam/Pepin.
Plum City made 10 errors in the game.
Jacob Lerum went the distance for Alma/Pepin and finished with five walks and five strikeouts. Lerum gave up four earned runs.
The Eagles face Prairie Farm Tuesday in Alma while the Blue Devils face Glenwood City Monday in Plum City.
