Elk Mound hands EPC softball its first loss

ELMWOOD - Elk Mound handed Elmwood/Plum City's softball team its first loss of the season 11-4 Monday afternoon.

The Dunn-St. Croix Conference contest was close up to the sixth inning. The Mounders, 4-1 overall, led 3-2 and then outscored the Wolves 8-2 in the sixth and seventh innnings.  EPC was hurt by six errors. 

Addie Morrell had two hits to lead Elmwood/PC and Taylor Chilson and Cheyanne Catura both hit doubles. EM was led by Makenna Borofka's two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.

EPC drops to 2-1 overall and in the D-SC. They will host Alma/Pepin this afternoon in Elmwood.
