@h:Local ambulance awarded Pierce Pepin grant

@t:The Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service was recently awarded $2,000 by Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services through its Operation Round Up program.

The grant was used to purchase a washer and dryer for the ambulance hall.

Operation Round Up is funded by participating Pierce Pepin members who round up their electric bills to the nearest dollar each month, or donate a specific dollar amount. The program provides charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations offering programs and supporting projects to enhance the quality of life for those within the communities served by the cooperative. 

Operation Round Up grants are awarded quarterly by the Pierce Pepin Board of Directors. Nonprofit organizations interested in applying may visit www.piercepepin.com or call 715-273-4355 for information. The next application deadline is Sunday, Dec. 15.
