Ellsworth area church members see the light of solar energy

BELDENVILLE--God said, "Let there be light," and members of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Beldenville are now using sunlight to save energy.

A new solar panel system went into operation at the church near CTH N and 530th Street this week. Gus Olson, a church member who owns Energy Independence Group, proposed and engineered the system.

"From a faith perspective, it's the right thing to do," Pastor John Sutherland said Thursday, explaining energy conservation compliments the church's mission to promote stewardship of the earth.
