Ellsworth area students again top peers on statewide exams

With just a few exceptions, area students again topped their peers throughout the state on the latest Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exams (WKCE).

For the fourth consecutive year, the scores for students here were mostly above the average scores across-the-state, according to results released earlier this month. The exams were taken by third through eighth graders plus 10th graders last November.

Students in all of those grade levels were tested for reading and math. Those in grades four, eight and 10 are also tested for language arts, science and social studies, along with reading and math.
