Ellsworth boys win in Durand, now 4-0 in MBC
DURAND - A 24-11 third quarter scoring margin proved the difference for the Ellsworth High School boys basketball team, as they defeated Durand 54-44 for their best Middle Border Conference start since the turn of the century.
Ellsworth is atop the league standings with a 4-0 record, 4-2 overall.
EHS trailed at halftime 23-20.
Chrystian Kulow led Ellsworth in scoring with 18 points. Logan Armstrong finished with 14 points and teammate Kyle Murphy added 11 points.
EHS is off until Dec. 27 when it plays at Lake City in the second game of a doubleheader with the Ellsworth girs varsity team against LC.
