Ellsworth High School observes March Youth Art Month
Youth Art Month is an annual observance emphasizing the value of art education for all children while encouraging support for quality school art programs.
In honor of the month, students of all ages in the Ellsworth School District have art work on display locally, regionally and statewide throughout March. Currently, there are art shows at the Ellsworth Public Library and the Depot Gallery in Red Wing.
March 23-April 1, there will be an art show at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison. A regional art show was also held at WITC in New Richmond Feb. 23-March 6.
Think about the way art affects life and the world. Everywhere art can be found, whether it’s a building, a painting, a product’s packaging, a piece of clothing or the simple beauty of nature.
Many of those who have participated in the arts have followed it through into a career. Yet others, at least, used their artistic abilities and skills to gain confidence, learn how to problem solve, use their creativity to express themselves and appreciate the art all around them.
