The Friday, Nov. 2, performance of "Damn Yankees" will have sign language interpreters for the deaf or hard of hearing community. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for students, and are available at the high school office and at the show.

Interpreters have been hired to help potential audience members who may have avoided going to performances in the past. They will be positioned on the side of the stage to allow the audience members to see both the interpreters and the action of the musical.

As Principal Mark Stoesz said, "We have always wanted to find a way to reach out to more of the community and this is one small way we can reach more people."

Director Shelly Moore added, "It has been fascinating for me to learn more about the hard of hearing community and what services we could offer to help them enjoy our shows. I am hopeful that we will be able to offer such a performance for future productions as well."

Damn Yankees runs Nov. 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m.
