Kuehni sentenced to probation, jail time in fatal shooting case

Ellsworth Legion team gets doubleheader sweep

 
ROSEVILLE, Minn. - The Ellsworth American Legion Post #204 baseball team won its final Gopher State League regular season contests with a doubleheader sweep of the Roseville Black Sox Wednesday.
 

Ellsworth won the first game 4-3. Eric McGregor pitched five innings picking up the victory with five K's. Brady Yanish finished the last two innings holding the lead and picking up the save. McGregor also added three hits and two RBIs to while Mike Koch added two hits and an RBI.  Ellsworth won Game 2 by  a 12-2 score. Jake Sigler was the winning pitcher Spencer Schroeder pitched the final innings. Schroeder had three hits and two runs scored while Carson Johnson went 4-for-4 with three RBIs, including a double, while crossing homeplate twice.

 

Ellsworth concludes league play going 12-1-1. They will take part in the league playoffs next week.
