Ellsworth man killed in crash early Sunday
A 22-year-old Ellsworth man died early Sunday when he was ejected from his car after it left a road in the Town of Salem, about six miles southeast of Ellsworth.
The victim, Alex P. Skog was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner.
Authorities were alerted to the crash at 5:20 a.m. by a passerby who had come upon the scene.
Pierce County sheriff's deputies were assisted by Ellsworth firefighter, Ellsworth Area Ambulance members and the Ellsworth Police Department.
The crash remains under investigation.
Mr. Skog is survived by his father, Gerald, and brothers Nathan and Adam of Ellsworth. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol, in 2007, according an obituary in a past edition of the Herald.
Funeral arrangements are pending with the Hill Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Ellsworth.
