Ellsworth Middle School evacuated due to gas leak

The Ellsworth Middle School was evacuated at 5 p.m., Wednesday due to a confirmed gas leak. 

In an e-mail sent to all parents, Principal Pete Nusbaum said the source of the leak was a defective part that was being fixed on a middle school dryer. Some events had to be moved as a result. Nusbaum said the leak was fixed and school personnel are working to make the building safe.

School was in session Thursday.
