Ellsworth Middle School holds Adventure Learning Day
On October 11th, Ellsworth Middle School’s 7th grade class met in the Outdoor Classroom for Adventure Learning Day. Students practiced collaboration skills, faced problem-solving challenges, all while completing a series of team-building games. Adventure Learning Day helps build a sense of community as students take direction and support from the 32 EHS volunteer mentors. According to Katie Miller, lead teacher for the special event, “The senior mentors’ help is essential for the day’s success. We couldn't pull this off without them.” Julie Graber, senior advisor, agrees, “It’s a win-win for everyone involved.” She believes that the high school students benefit just as much from having an opportunity to use their leadership skills. The seventh grade core team would like to thank Julie, and all staff, for supporting this unique experience. A special thanks to our students for their positive participation.
